We use a small number of cookies and equivalent storage technologies to operate TechProductIndia, keep you signed in, and understand how the Service is used. This policy explains each category.
1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to function. You cannot disable them without breaking sign-in.
- next-auth.session-token - keeps you signed in
- next-auth.csrf-token - protects against cross-site request forgery
- next-auth.callback-url - routes you back to the page you were on after sign-in
2. Functional Cookies
These store your interface preferences and keep our own counts honest. They are first-party (set by TechProductIndia only) and never shared.
- theme - your preferred colour scheme (light/dark/system)
- tpi_attr - how you first found us (campaign or referring site), so we know which channels work. 180 days.
- tpi_jsync - remembers that your sign-up source was already recorded. 180 days.
- tpi_vid - a random, anonymous id so a repeat click on one of our share links is counted once, not twice. 1 year.
- tpi_audit_scan - links a free website audit you ran to the product you list afterwards, so we can tell which audits led to a listing. 60 days.
- Browser storage: techproductindia:cookie-consent remembers your cookie choice; tpi_newsletter_dismissed remembers that you closed the newsletter pop-up.
3. Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the Service is used. Analytics storage is off by default (Google Consent Mode) and is switched on only if you choose “Accept all” in our cookie banner. With your consent, Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_*.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, only after you choose “Accept all”, to see how pages are used through heatmaps and anonymised session recordings. Clarity masks text you type into forms. It may set cookies such as _clck, _clsk and CLID.
4. Advertising Measurement
We do not show third-party advertising on TechProductIndia. To measure whether our own advertising brings people to the Service:
- Meta Pixel - loads only after you choose "Accept all". It may set the _fbp cookie and records page views and sign-ups.
- Google Ads conversion tag - runs with advertising storage switched off, so it does not set advertising cookies.
Choosing “Essential only” keeps Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel off.
5. Managing Cookies
You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings. Clearing the session cookie will sign you out.
