Sitemap Shooter turns a website’s sitemap.xml into a complete set of full-page screenshots.
Simply paste a sitemap.xml URL, and Sitemap Shooter automatically reads the pages listed in the sitemap, crawls each URL, and captures a full-page PNG screenshot of every page. Once the process is complete, you can download screenshots individually or download the entire collection as a ZIP file.
It’s useful for website audits, QA testing, design reviews, documentation, competitor research, website migrations, and keeping visual records of websites at scale.

As a developer, I often need to revisit and reference previous versions of websites when working on redesigns and revamps. But capturing every page manually is time-consuming. I built SiteAtlas to make this easier just provide a sitemap and get a complete set of full-page screenshots to use as a visual reference.

- What is a sitemap?
- A sitemap.xml is a file that contains URLs belonging to a website. SiteAtlas uses those URLs as the pages it needs to capture.
- Can I capture an entire website?
- Yes, if the website provides the pages through a sitemap that SiteAtlas can process. The number of pages that can be captured may depend on the current processing limits.
- Do I need to manually enter every page?
- No. You provide the sitemap URL, and SiteAtlas uses the URLs listed in the sitemap for the capture process.
- How long does processing take?
- Timing depends on page load speed, sitemap size, and retries. SiteAtlas captures two pages at a time and starts up to 10 capture requests per minute. Large batches can take tens of minutes.
- Can I capture private or password-protected pages?
- SiteAtlas currently supports publicly accessible pages. It cannot sign in, use your browser’s login session, or access localhost and private-network sites. Pages requiring authentication may show a login screen or fail to capture.
- Which export formats are available?
- Download screenshots individually as PNG files or collect successful captures in a ZIP archive. PDF and JPEG export are not currently available.
- What happens if a page fails?
- SiteAtlas automatically retries failed pages once after the initial batch. You can then select “Retry failed” to try again. Successful screenshots remain available for download.
- Do I need to keep the tab open?
- Yes. Keep the tab open while captures run, and download your results before refreshing or closing it. The current version does not provide saved capture history.
